Routine appointments with the doctors can generally be booked up to 8 weeks in advance. We also run a daily emergency clinic for very urgent problems.

Nurse and health care assistant appointments are usually pre booked and in order to give the appropriate amount of time in the appropriate clinic the patient will be asked for some indication as to the nature of the appointment.

If you have an emergency please ring the switchboard number 01483 783000 and the operator will connect you to the emergency line.

The phones are very busy for the first hour of the morning and again in the first hour of the afternoon so we do ask patients who are calling for results or non urgent enquiries to call outside these times.

We now have the facility for patients to book their appointments over the phone without needing to speak to a receptionist.  This system can be used at any time of the day or night and particularly helps alleviate the morning rush for appointments. Haslemere patients should ring their reception number as usual.  Fernhurst patients will need to ring one of the Haslemere direct dial reception numbers and then they can also access the system and make an appointment at Fernhurst.

If you are too ill to attend the surgery you may request a home visit which will normally take place around lunchtime or early afternoon.  It is important to ring before 11am otherwise the visit could be delayed. It is possible the doctor will phone you before he makes the visit.
